Montreal police were called to Laduversiere park on August 16th at approximately 8:30 pm on report of a drive by shooting. Police said the shooting took place during a children’s soccer game.

Police and paramedics arrived to find Antonio De Blasio, 45,  bleeding heavily and suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body. De Blasio was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

De Blasio was known to have ties with the Montreal Mafia.

No arrests have been made at this time.
