Saskatoon Police Investigate City’s 8th Homicide After 24-Year-Old Man Dies

Saskatoon police are investigating the city’s eighth homicide of 2026 after a 24-year-old man died from injuries sustained in an incident on the city’s west side.

Officers were called to the 200 block of Avenue V South at approximately 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, following reports of an injured person lying outside. The man was taken to hospital for treatment but later died from his injuries.

The Saskatoon Police Service’s Major Crime Unit, along with the Forensic Identification Section, is leading the investigation. An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, 2026, as investigators continue to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
