Manitoba 2026 Homicide Victim List

A homicide investigation is underway in Carman after the death of a 52-year-old local man.

The investigation began on May 25 when the man’s body was discovered near a self-storage compound on 2nd Street North East in Carman. An autopsy later confirmed that the victim’s death was the result of a homicide, according to Carman RCMP and RCMP Major Crime Services.

As the investigation progressed, officers arrested a 44-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman on May 27 in connection with the case.

The following day, police charged 44-year-old Gordon Blaine McTaggart of Killarney with second-degree murder. He was remanded into custody following his court appearance. Investigators later determined that the 36-year-old woman had no involvement in the homicide and she was released without charges.
