LaSalle, Ontario Police Investigate Fatal Stabbing of Nancy Grewal, on Todd Lane

LaSalle police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred on March 3, 2026. Just before 9:30 p.m., emergency services responded to a report of a stabbing in the 2400 block of Todd Lane.

A 45-year-old woman was found with serious injuries and transported to the hospital by Essex-Windsor EMS, where she later died. She has been identified as Nancy Grewal.

According to reports, Grewal was working as a PSW when she was murdered.

Update: The LaSalle Police Service has received media inquiries about narratives on social media and possible motives of the recent homicide on Todd Lane. 

Investigators are confident this was not a random act of violence. Ms. Grewal’s murder is being investigated as an intentional act against her. All information is being considered. While we recognize the significant public interest in this case, we will not share information that will compromise the investigation, including leads, tips, and investigative avenues.

OPP Investigators, working alongside Windsor Police, have released surveillance footage of an arson incident in Windsor that may be linked to a homicide investigation in LaSalle. Police are asking anyone who can help identify the vehicle or suspect(s) involved to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
