Windsor police responded to a report of a sudden death at an apartment building located at the corner of University Avenue West and McKay Avenue on June 10th at 10:00pm.

Officers arrived to find a 31 year old woman deceased. An autopsy was completed on June 11th and revealed the manner of death to be a homicide. Police have not released the cause of death at this time.

Update June 24th.
Windsor police have identified the victim as Autumn Taggart (also known as Maya Madolyn). Police have released the identity and photo of Autumn Taggart in hopes of generating information in regards to this homicide investigation. Police believe Taggart’s 9-year-old child was in the apartment at the time of the homicide.

Update August 20th
On Friday August 17, 2018 an adult male was arrested without incident and charged with first-degree murder.
