Ingonish Beach RCMP responded to a report of a sudden death at a residence on New Haven Road in New Haven on August 30th.

On arrival police located the 77-year-old man deceased. RCMP have not released the cause of death, only saying that the incident is being investigated as a homicide.

Police arrested Brian Coady Rose, 22, of New Haven, and charged him with Second Degree Murder.

The investigation is continuing and anyone who has information about this incident is asked to contact the Northeast Nova Major Crime Unit at 902-896-5060.
