Sheshatshiu RCMP announced that they are currently investigating the murder of a 37-year-old woman in the community that occurred on September 1st.

Little information has been released, however, Fifty-one-year-old Eric Rich has been taken into police custody and attends court this afternoon to answer to a charge of second degree murder.

There is currently no known risk to public safety.
