17-year-old Abdalla Hassan shot to death in Hamilton’s second homicide of 2019

Hamilton Police responded to reports of a single vehicle collision in the area of Patterson Rd and Wesley Rd in Dundas, on April 15th at approximately 7:35pm.

It has been reported that the vehicle had been left in a roadway of a wooded area. Police arrived to find 17-year-old Abdalla Hassan deceased in the vehicle.

An autopsy was completed on April 16th and the cause of death, a gunshot wound. Police have recovered the weapon and three male youths have been arrested and have been charged with First Degree Murder at the John Sopinka Courthouse.

Update October 17th 2022
A Hamilton youth has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in relation to the murder of Hassan. The youth who was 17 at the time of the homicide cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
