The 2023 Manitoba Homicide Victim List is available here

Moose Lake RCMP responded to a report of a shooting at a residence in the community on September 2, 2023, at approximately 2:45 am.

Police arrived to find a 34-year-old male with life-threatening injuries. Police transported the victim to hospital where he was life-flighted to Winnipeg, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving.

On September 3, 2023, RCMP arrested and charged a 15-year-old male, from Mosakahiken Cree Nation, with Second Degree murder.
