Battlefords RCMP responded to the report of an injured man in Saulteaux First Nation on January 2nd.

On arrival police located 24-year-old Lyle Night Jr, suffering from serious injuries at a home. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. His cause of death has not been released.

Brody Runningaround, 20, and Malyka Nahbexie, 23, were arrested in connection with the homicide. Both have been charged with first-degree murder.
