Peel Regional Police responded to a medical assist call at a home on Hiberton Crescent in the City of Brampton on November 6th at approximately 10:55pm.
Emergency crews arrived at the home to find two boys 9, and 12-years old deceased. The victim’s identities and cause of death have not been released. Const. Heather Cannon said, “The call did come from within the house and it was shortly after that is was determined that the deaths were suspicious.”
Police said the case has been determined to be an isolated incident with no threat to the community. Police said they are trying to figure out what happened and who is responsible. More information will be added as it becomes available.

Update November 7th
The father of the two victims, Edwin Bastidas,52, was arrested on November 7th and charged with two counts of first-degree murder and will be attending the Ontario Court of Justice for a bail hearing today.
