Truro Police Service said they were called to an apartment building on Robie Street at around 2am on September 5th on the report of a suspicious death.

On arrival police located a deceased 23-year-old man. Police did not reveal his identity, however, friends and family identified him as Prabhjot Singh Katri. He had been returning from his job as a taxi driver to the apartment that he shared with his sister and her husband. According to reports Katri was stabbed in the neck.

Police are investigating the death as a homicide and say there is no risk to the public.

Cameron James Prosper was arrested charged with second-degree murder, however, he pleaded guilty to manslaughter in Truro Supreme Court on Dec. 19.
