Thunder Bay, Ontario 2025 Homicide Victim List

Thunder Bay Police were called to the area of Jean Street and Van Norman Street shortly after 11 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, after reports of an assault. When officers arrived, they found an injured man at the scene.

The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later died in hospital on Wednesday, July 16. Police have identified him as a 27-year-old Thunder Bay resident.

Billy Moskotaywenene, 34, was initially arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Following the victim’s death, he was re-arrested on Monday, July 21, and his charge was upgraded to second-degree murder.
