Navdeep Kaur, 28, of Surrey, was reported missing by her family, to the Surrey RCMP on February 23, 2024.
An investigation was conducted by the Surrey RCMP’s Missing Persons Unit, evidence was collected that has led investigators to believe that Ms. Kaur may be a victim of foul play.
Investigators said Navdeep Kaur was last seen on February 22, 2024 at 10:30 p.m. in the 7800-block of 123 Street, in Surrey. She is described as 28-years-old, South Asian, 5’5, 125lbs, with long black hair, and brown eyes.
As a result, IHIT has taken conduct of the investigation and will be working closely in partnership with the Surrey RCMP, the Integrated Forensic Identification Section and the BC Coroners Service to advance the investigation.
“Investigators are working to learn as much as possible about Navdeep, and her movements leading up to her disappearance on February 22,
” says Corporal Esther Tupper of IHIT. “We’re asking anyone who has had recent contact with Navdeep, or anyone with information, to please call IHIT immediately.

Update: On July 23, 2024, Richmond RCMP received a report of possible human remains located in the water where Williams Road meets the Fraser River. Upon police attendance, human remains were located.
On November 7th police identified the remains as those of Navdeep Kaur. IHIT has continued to pursue a number of investigative avenues to determine the circumstances surrounding Ms. Kaur’s death.
