Winnipeg Police responded to a report of a man assaulted in the hallway of an apartment block the 600 block of Flora Ave, on July 13th at approximately 5:25 pm.
Christopher Helstrom, 27, of Teulon, Manitoba, was found suffering from injuries and was rushed to hospital where he died from his injuries. The exact cause of death has not been released at this time.
On July 15th Winnipeg police homicide detectives arrested a suspect in relation to the murder of Helstrom. The suspect remains in custody, however, charges have not been laid at this time.

Winnipeg Emergency crews responded to report of an altercation where a man was seriously injured in the 300 block of Alfred Avenue, on May 26th at 9:20pm.
A male victim was located and rushed to hospital, where he died of his injuries. No other information is available at this time.
Update June 6th Police have identified the deceased as Dorian Glenn Sanderson, 17, and said Sanderson died as a result of a gunshot wound. A 15-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
Update July 8th Winnipeg police arrested a second 15-year-old male on July 4th and charged him with Second Degree Murder.
Winnipeg police resonded to a 911 call on March 26th at approximately 10:45am, in the first 100 block of Rockcliffe Rd.
police spokesman Const. Rob Carver said they arrived to find a woman suffering from severe injuries and in critical condition,. The woman was rushed to hospital where she died of her injuries. No other information is available at this time.
Winnipeg did not record their 11th homicide in 2018 until July.
Update, March 29th The victim has been identified as Lise Danais, a 51-year-old female of Winnipeg.
August 1st Winnipeg police have charged a youth with first-degree murder in the death of Lise Danais.
Winnipeg Police responded to a report of a residential Break & Enter in progress at a home in the 700 block of McGee Street on March 3rd at approximately 9:00pm. 17-year-old Jamie Adao was home alone with his grandma when the intruder entered the home and began assaulting the teen with a weapon.
Police arrived to find the intruder attacking the teen, and shot at the intruder in order to stop the attack. Both Adao and the 29-year-old intruder were rushed to hospital with injuries where Jamie Adao died. The intruder remains in critical condition.

Two men were shot at the Johnny G’s restaurant location on Main Street in Winnipeg after midnight Wednesday. They later died in hospital.
This is the fourth and fifth homicide in Winnipeg in 2019. In 2018 there were 22 homicide in Winnipeg versus 21 in 2017.
Update February 8th Winnipeg police have released the identity of the two victims in the February 6th homicide as Anthony Brian Cromastey, 30, and Rodney Albert Kirton, 25. Police have revealed that the deceased males died as a result of simultaneous gunshots to each other. Both handguns have been recovered.
