Gursumeet Singh Brar found dead on a rural property in Strathcona County

Strathcona County RCMP responded to a 911 report of a deceased male on a rural property at Highway 14 and Range Road 231 in Strathcona County, on November 29th at approximately 8:35am.

Police arrived to find a deceased 25-year-old men who was later identified as Gursumeet Singh Brar. Police said the circumstances surrounding the death of Brar were suspicious, and the autopsy revealed the manner of death to be a homicide.  Cause of death has not been released.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Harpreet “Harry” Kang, found dead on a Strathcona County Road

Strathcona County RCMP responded to report of a body in the road in the area of  Township Road 515 and Range Road 234, on April 9th at approximately 9:20pm.

The deceased has since been identified as Harpreet “Harry” Kang, 24, of Edmonton. RCMP Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation. The cause of death has not been released at this time.

RCMP are searching for a suspect vehicle, described as a blue 2018 Acura TLX. Anyone with information is asked to call Strathcona County RCMP at 780-467-7741.

Norman Stroh stabbed to death by his son Kristian Stroh

Strathcona RCMP responded to a complaint in the area of Range Road 212 and Township Road 542 on April 28th at around 12:15pm.

Police arrived to find 71 year old Norman Stroh suffering from stab wounds, and 35 year old Kristian Stroh at the home. Norman Stroh was pronounced dead at the scene and Kristian Stroh was immediately taken into custody.

Kristian Stroh is facing a first degree murder charge in the death of his father.
