Police searching for Simeon Harty in relation to the death of Kevin Nicholas Gidden

At around 12:45 am on October 27th, Kevin Gidden 23, was driven to Toronto Police Service’s 43 Division, 4331 Lawrence Avenue East with a gunshot wound to the head and upper body.

Gidden was transported to hospital where he died of his injuries on October 29th.

Police believe the shooting was targeted and are asking Simeon Harty to turn himself into police. Police said that they have seized a vehicle in Hamilton that Harty was in on the day of the homicide.

Simeon Harty Surrendered himself to police on Tuesday November 1. Hearty has been charged with first degree murder and attempted murder.

Scarborough stabbing takes the life of 15 year old Kareem Deerr

Toronto police were called to the TTC bus platform at The Scarborough Town Centre on September 23 at around 9:20 on report of a stabbing.

The victim, Kareem Deerr 15, was found with a serious stab wound and was rushed to hospital where he died shortly after. Police said the area where the stabbing took place would have been very busy at the time of the stabbing with people getting off work and leaving the mall.

Joseph Anzolona and Cynthia Mullapudi Shot to death outside Scarborough LCBO

Police said Joseph Anzolona 26, was returning from the store and getting into the back seat of the vehicle when the suspect shot him at close range around 9:50pm April 29th.  Cynthia Mullapudi 24, who was in the back seat with Anzolona was also shot and killed.

The two people in the front seat of the vehicle were unharmed.

May 3: Toronto police have arrested and charged a 24 year old man in connection with the double homicide. His name has not been released and charges are pending.

Update in 2015 homicide of Clinton Yow Foo

Police have identified the man that was shot dead outside in the Kingston Road and Ellesmere area October 1st as Clinton Yow Foo. Yow Foo was for steps away from his parents home where he was staying.

Yow Foo had been shot and was declared dead at the scene.
Toronto police are investigating after a man was found dead on a Kingston Road driveway on Thursday morning.

Yow Foo was known to police. He was one of several people arrested  in 2009, in which Durham regional police seized around three million worth of drugs, homes, cars and cash.


On April 19th Toronto Police updated the public on the Yow Foo homicide case.

The autopsy of Yow Foo has shown the he was killed by a single shot from a high powered rifle, from a distance away.

Police told reporters that investigators had located a browning BLR short magnum rifle approximately 200 yards away from the crime scene. The rifle had a Bushnell Legend High Definition scope and a Champion 13 by 22 inch bipod. Toronto police are asking for the public to help catch the sniper.

20 year old Josiah Haye fatally shot in Scarborough

Josiah Haye 20, has been identified as the victim of the fatal Scarborough shooting that happened on March 20th at around 6:30 pm.

Police responded to a call of shots fired on Glendower Circuit in Scarborough. On arrival they found Haye suffering from a gunshot wound. Haye was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Shafaq Joya charged with second degree murder

Toronto police responded to reports of a stabbing on Pharmacy Avenue at around 1:15pm February 27th. Police found a man at the scene who had suffered obvious trauma, however they did not say if it was a stabbing. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of death is still pending the autopsy results.

Shafaq Joya 30, was arrested February 28th and charged with second degree murder. Joy is expected in court February 29th. The victims name is not being released at this time.

Toronto’s 6th homicide Adedotun Agunbiade

Adedotun Agunbiade 28, was shot dead at a Scarborough hair salon party at 4:20 am, on January 24th.

Police were called to the scene where paramedics found Agunbiade with multiple gunshot wounds. Agunbiade was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police have not named any suspects at this time.

70 year old Alva Dixon named as Scarborough’s latest homicide victim

Police have identified the man killed in a Scarborough double shooting on January 20th as 70-year-old Alva Dixon.

When police arrived to the area of Victoria Park Avenue and Finch Avenue they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. Dixon was pronounced dead at the scene, and the second victim was rushed to hospital with non life threatening injuries.

18 year old Simone Reid found dead.

Simone Reid, 18, was found unresponsive by Police at her home on November 13th in scarborough. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Reid missed school on November 13th and her friends had gone to check up on her, that is when her body was discovered. Police have deemed this as a suspicious, however they have not released the cause of death.

Investigators are looking for the public’s help to find the victim’s father so they can notify him of her death. The father is not a suspect at this time.

Stella Tetsos found dead in her Scarborough home

Police are investigating whether a home invasion led to the murder of an 82 year old Stella Tetsos, inside her Scarborough home.

Tetsos was found in her home on  Wednesday November 11th, in the basement. Officers had discovered items missing as well as a window that had been smashed, and a door was propped open.

No cause of death or suspected have been released.

Sinbad King Simba Marshall 21, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and break and enter.
