Durham region’s first homicide of 2020 – Stabbing claims the life of Kelvin Brown

West Division were called to a residence on Tams Drive in Ajax for a stabbing on June 4th at approximately 1:20pm.

Police and paramedics arrived to find Kelvin Brown, 21, without vitals. Brown was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Police have charged Nigel Ramlogan, 20, of Pickering with Second Degree Murder. He was held for a bail hearing.

Cory Fenn arrested in relation to a domestic related triple homicide in Ajax

Durham Regional  Police were called to a home on Hilling Drive in Ajax on March 14th at approximately 11am, after a female, who went to check on the well-being of her friend, The concerned woman  was met at the door by a man. She was refused entry and the man left in a vehicle.

Police arrived to find Krassimira Pejcinovski, 39, of Ajax and her son Roy Pejcinovski, 15 deceased at the scene. The third victim Venallia Pejcinovski, 13, of Ajax was transported to a trauma center with serious injuries and dies later that evening.

Cory Fenn, 29, was arrested in Oshawa on March 14th and charged with three counts of second degree murder.

Update March 23
Autopsies were conducted on the three victims. The autopsy revealed that two of the victims died of sharp force trauma and the third victim died of asphyxiation.

Jermaine Auld found dead in Ajax

Ajax police were called to a residence in the area of Audley Road and Rossland Road on February 11th at around 2:45am. Police arrived to find 33 year old Jermaine Auld with what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

Auld was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. An autopsy is due to take place on February 12th.

Vernie Ferrigon killed in Drive by shooting

Police were called to a townhouse complex in Ajax on July 4th at around 10:30 pm on report of a shooting. Police arrived to find Vernie Ferrigon 33, in a car that was riddled with bullet holes.

Ferrigon was rushed to hospital where he dies of his injuries.

Police are looking for a large dark coloured SUV that was seen fleeing the scene.

Son charged in the murder of his father John Watts

The South Frontenac OPP found John Watts, 65, of Ajax, deceased inside a one story cottage on September 18th.

OPP arrested Robert John Watts 23, for a driving offence in Port Hope. Northumberland OPP officers learned that a death may have occurred at a location in South Frontenac and provided information to Frontenac OPP.

Robert John Watts has since been charged with second degree murder.

The cause of death has not been released.
