Peel police responded to the report of a disturbance in the area of Galbraith Drive and Barwell Road in Mississauga, on October 6th at 6:25am.
Police arrived to find a woman in her 50’s inside the home with apparent signs of trauma she was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police have not released the identity of the victim or cause of death.
The victim’s husband, Stephen Kerelchuk, 53, was arrested at the scene and charged with second-degree murder. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact investigators with the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau at (905)453-2121 ext. 3205.
Update October 8th
According to The Toronto’s Sun interview with Mauro Di Domenico, the next-door neighbor of the Kerelchuk’s, identified the victim as Belynda Cleland Kerelchuk.
