Ryan Tremblay has been charged with Indignity to Human Remains in the 2019 homicide of William Tremblay

Wood Buffalo RCMP were dispatched to a report of a travel trailer that had burned down on a remote pathway on April 8, 2019, at approximately 1:30 p.m.

On arrival police located the smoldering remains of a travel trailer, and human remains inside. An autopsy revealed that the deceased was 54-year-old William Tremblay, a resident of Conklin, Alta.

On Sept. 16, 2022, Ryan Tremblay, 37, of Conklin, Alta, was arrested and has been charged with Indignity to Human Remains. Tremblay remains in custody and is set to appear in Fort McMurray Provincial Court on Oct. 3, 2022.
