Police make an arrest in Regina’s 4th homicide of 2019 – Report of a single-vehicle crash ends up a homicide investigation in Regina

Regina police responded to a report of a collision in the area of 5th Avenue and Lindsay Street on June 11th.

Police arrived to find 30-year-old Denny Troy Jimmy deceased. Further investigation revealed that Jimmy’s death was the result of homicide. Police have released little information regarding the investigation.

Update October 19th.
Regina police arrested Adam Taniskishayinew, 27, on October 16th from a closed-custody facility in Saskatoon. Taniskishayinew has been charged with the following:

  • Second Degree Murder [235(1) CC];
  • Possession of a Prohibited Firearm contrary to order [117.01(1) CC]; and
  • Breach of Probation [733.1(1) CC].
