Fisher Branch RCMP responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence located in Fisher River Cree Nation on November 6th at approximately 2:50am.

On arrival, police located an 18-year-old female with life-threatening injuries and a 16-year-old male with non-life threatening injuries. The 18-year-old was transported to hospital where she died of her injuries on November 7th. The cause of death and identity of the victim have not been released.

Fisher Branch RCMP, along with Major Crime Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate.
