Ashern RCMP responded to the report of an assault in the Rural Municipality of West Interlake on May 15th at approximately 11:15pm.
Police arrived to find a 35-year-old man suffering from serious injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Ashern RCMP and the Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate.
Update
RCMP arrested 24-year-old Zachary Desjarlais of Vogar, Manitoba on May 16th and charged him with Manslaughter.
