On February 7th, the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service responded to a call at an Assiniboine Avenue building in downtown Winnipeg. 19-year-old River Harper was discovered deceased in the building hallway, prompting police investigation.

Jadar Morrison, 20, one of the suspects linked to the death, has since been apprehended in the 500 block of Grey Street and charged with manslaughter. Surveillance images assisted in identifying the suspects, with one, 21-year-old Jrayden Monias, still at large.

Monias is considered dangerous, and the public is urged not to approach him but to contact the Winnipeg homicide unit at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 204-786-TIPS with any relevant information.

Update: On February 26, MONIAS was arrested by RCMP in Island Lake, Manitoba, on the strength of the warrant. He was turned over to members of the WPS Homicide Unit and detained in custody.
