Manitoba 2026 Homicide Victim List
A 33-year-old man from Norway House is facing a second-degree murder charge following the death of a 36-year-old man at a residence on Paupanekis Point.
Norway House RCMP responded to the home at approximately 3 a.m. on August 11, 2026, after receiving a report of a severely injured man. Police officers and First Nation Safety Officers arrived and were informed by EMS that the man had died. The death was believed to have resulted from a stabbing.
Manitoba RCMP Major Crime Services took over the investigation, with Forensic Identification Services assisting at the scene.
Investigators determined that a confrontation had taken place inside the residence between the victim and another man, who left the area following the incident. Police said the two men were known to each other.
Officers later located and arrested the suspect without incident.
The 33-year-old Norway House man remains in custody and has been charged with second-degree murder.
