Montreal police responded to a 911 call at 2:30am on December 31st, reporting a stabbing on Sainte-Catherine Street, near Guy Street.

Police arrived to find the 26-year-old man suffering from a stab wound in critical condition. The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time.
