Peel police responded to a report of a stabbing in the area of Ann Street in south Mississauga, on March 8th at approximately 10:20pm.

Police arrived to find Michael Johnston, 54, in life threatening condition. Johnston died of his injuries at the scene.

Mary Ljubanovic, 48 of Mississauga was arrested on March 9th, and charged with second degree murder.

This is the third Peel Region homicide of 2019, the second for the city of Mississauga.
