Montreal police said the  57-year-old victim was found lying in a pool of blood in a hallway of the apartment  building on October 11th at approximately 7:15am.

The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. Police have not released the cause of death at this time.

Montreal Major Crimes unit is currently reviewing surveillance footage of the area.
