Julian Weekes shot dead after attending his friends memorial

Police were called to a Shell gas station on reports of gunshots at around 2am on April 2nd.

Julian Weekes 27 was found by Toronto police in a pool of his blood at the Shell gas station at Richmond and Parliament. Paramedics were unable to save Weeks life and he was pronounced dead at the scene.  Police believe the shooting took place a few blocks away near Queen and Parliament.

Police said Weekes was attending a memorial celebration at Annie’s Bar for his friend Ceyon Carrington who died March 23 as a result of gun violence.

Update May 3
Michael Teddy Gibson, 30, was arrested on May 3 2017 in Aruba. According to police, Gibson was wanted for another murder in Aruba as well as the murder of Julian Weekes.
