Update: On September 30th, CBC reported that thirteen people were arrested in Quebec and Ontario in connection with the December 2024 killing of 45-year-old Jennifer Morin, who is believed to have been mistakenly targeted instead of her son. Morin’s son, Jeffrey Morin, is a known member of the notorious gang called the Blood Family Mafia.

The suspects, aged 18 to 51, include both men and women. Six are expected to appear in court to face charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Update October 30th 2025.
Mathieu Pelletier, 33, the son of Marc “Tom” Pelletier, who was a founding member of the Hells Angels’ Quebec chapter, was arrested on October 29th 2025 at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport.

Pelletier was wanted on a first-degree murder charge in connection with the December 2024 killing of Jennifer Morin, who was mistakenly targeted and killed in her Charlesbourg apartment, as well as for conspiracy to murder her son, Jeffrey Morin.

According to Le Journal De Quebec, the arrest warrant, issued on October 24, applies only within Quebec, meaning Pelletier was taken into custody without a warrant in Ontario. He is currently being held in provisional detention as the court works to authorize the warrant’s enforcement in the province.

Once approved, Pelletier will be transferred to Quebec City, where he is expected to appear in court later this week.

*According to reports, Jeffrey Morin was sentenced to nearly seven years in prison in July 2025 after pleading guilty to gun and drug trafficking.
