Officers from the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service, along with the Ontario Provincial Police, responded to a call on Albany River Crescent just after 3:30 a.m on March 29th in Eabametoong First Nation.
Police said two victims were found with life-threatening injuries and were airlifted to hospital, but the 33-year-old later died from his injuries.
Police have charged five people in connection with the attack, including two teenagers aged 15 and 17, with second-degree murder and aggravated assault. All five are expected to appear in court later this month. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
