Winnipeg Police North District General Patrol officers responded to the first 100 block of Gilbert Avenue on the report of a man who had been assaulted on December 10th at approximately 9:40 p.m.

Police arrived to find 20-year-old Delaney Lee Sinclair, a short distance away in the 1600 block of Burrows Avenue, suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Skyelyn Dawn Marie Ross was charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Delaney Lee Sinclair

Police have taken a suspect into custody, however, no charges have been laid. The Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation. Anyone with information that may help investigators to call 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
