Carrot River RCMP responded to a report of an altercation at a residence on Red Earth Cree Nation on November 30 at 2:30am.

On arrival police located  29-year-old Sean McKay suffering from serious injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

As a result of continued investigation, Daven Head of Red Earth Cree Nation was arrested and charged with one count of second degree murder,
