Prince Albert 2026 Homicide Victim List

The Prince Albert Police Service’s Major Crimes Unit has charged two youths in connection with the death of 27-year-old Daina Gauthier.

At approximately 1:55 a.m. on July 30, 2026, police responded to a report of a stabbing in the unit block of 14th Street East. Officers arrived on scene and located Gauthier with serious injuries and began first aid before Parkland Ambulance arrived on scene.

Parkland Ambulance transported Gauthier to hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.

A 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl were arrested on Thursday, July 30, 2026, and have each been charged with second-degree murder.

Both accused remain in custody and are scheduled to appear for the first time in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

Police have confirmed there are no other suspects being sought in the investigation, and no further charges are expected.
