Brockville Police were called to a home on Cartier Court around 11:30 a.m. on May 7, 2026, after receiving a 911 report about three deceased individuals inside the residence. When officers arrived, they confirmed that all three victims had died. Investigators say evidence found at the scene led them to classify the deaths as suspicious.
According to reports, the deceased are a 49-year-old mother and her two daughters, ages 15 and 17.
As the investigation unfolded, officers obtained additional information that directed them to a property outside Brockville. At that location, police arrested a 17-year-old Brockville resident believed to be connected to the incident. The youth now faces three counts of first-degree murder, along with a charge of assaulting a police officer. Authorities stated that the accused and the victims were known to each other and emphasized that this was not considered a random act.
Police said Investigators believe the incident may be connected to intimate partner violence due to the accused’s relationship with one of the victim’s daughters.
The accused is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing on May 8, 2026. Because the individual is a minor, their identity cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Police said more details will be shared when appropriate.
In a news release issued Wednesday May 13th, police said official identification is still pending, but investigators believe the victims to be 49-year-old Louwanda Elliot, 17-year-old Mackayla Elliot, and 15-year-old Nikita Elliot.
Update: Police are again requesting North End residents, business owners, and property managers to review any available cameras, including:
- Doorbell cameras (e.g., Ring)
- Home or business security cameras
- Dash cameras
- Trail or wildlife cameras
