The Abbotsford Police Department was alerted by the Abbotsford Regional Hospital regarding two patients who had been transferred from Menno Home on July 5th.

Police stated that both individuals were facing medical emergencies that appeared suspicious and raised concerns among investigators. On July 10th, one of the patients did not survive.

The Major Crime Unit of the Abbotsford Police Department has been actively investigating this case in partnership with healthcare professionals and other law enforcement agencies.

As the case develops, the investigation will now be taken over by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT), which will be responsible for providing future updates.
