York Regional Police received an unknown trouble call at an address on Gillingham Avenue on November 26, 2023, at 10:47 p.m.

On arrival police located an adult male with serious injuries and Xu GUO, 34, female, from British Columbia, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her cause of death has not been released at this time.

Zhaoyu LI, 34, male, from Markham, has been charged with First Degree Murder.
