York Regional Police responded to a shooting at ATL Lounge night club in the area of Highway 7 and Keele Street on July 23rd, at approximately 3:30am.
Police and paramedics arrived to find a 25-year-old male and a 22-year-old male who were pronounced deceased at the scene. A 20-year-old female victim was rushed to hospital suffering from a serious gunshot wound. Police said she remains in hospital.
YRP have not named the victims, however, ATL Lounge named the two deceased as two of their bouncers, Eze and Tosin, in an Instagram post. A Gofundme campaign has been created to help with funeral costs and to reunite their bodies with their families.

No arrests have been made and investigators seek cell phone video or photographs from inside or outside the establishment, video surveillance from the area or anyone that may have captured dashcam video on the roadways.
Update July 28th
Investigators have released photos and a video of a suspect connected to this homicide and his acquaintance. The photos and videos were from surveillance taken from ATL Lounge.

- 20s
- Wearing a white and a black shirt


Update July 29th
A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued for Kensworth Alton Francis, 27, of Mississauga, wanted for First Degree Murder and Attempted Murder.
Investigators continue to seek any cell phone video or photographs from inside or outside the establishment or video surveillance or dashcam footage from the area or on the roadways. Update March 28th 2024
Members of the York Regional Police Homicide Unit have been actively working the investigation and partnered with the BOLO Program, the RCMP INTERPOL Fugitive Apprehension Support Team and the United States Marshals Service in effort to locate the suspect.
York Regional Police announced on March 26, 2024, that Kensworth Alton FRANCIS, 29, of Mississauga was taken into custody by marshals in Hartford, Connecticut. Investigators are working with the Ministry of the Attorney General to extradite the suspect to York Region.
Francis has been charged with:
- First Degree Murder x2
- Attempted Murder
