 York Regional Police responded to a report of an assault at a group home on Davis Drive on December 7, 2023, at about 9:55 p.m.

On arrival officers found an adult female without vital signs. She was transported to hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

The cause of death is not known. A post-mortem examination is expected to occur in the coming days.
