Prince George RCMP responded to the report of a stabbing in the 300-block of George Street on July 2nd at approximately 10:00pm.

Police performed first aid until paramedics arrived and the female victim to hospital where she died of her injuries on July 3rd. The victim has been identified as Jessie Mae Hayward-Lines, 26.

Charlene Marie Alexander, 49, was taken into custody on Friday September 10th, 2021 after the B.C. Prosecution Service approved a single count of first-degree murder.
