Update: Woman found dead in a vehicle in Northeast Edmonton

Edmonton police responded to a 911 call on February 20th at 4:30 pm after  a body was found in a vehicle.

Police arrived at the rural property near 258 Avenue and Meridian to find a woman in her 30’s dead in a vehicle.

Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation. An autopsy was scheduled for February 23.

Update February 26th
Police have identified the victim as Cynthia Deborah Kennedy, 39, of Edmonton. The autopsy revealed the Kennedy died of a gunshot wound.
