Winnipeg’s first homicide of 2019 – Adam Travis Martin dies of a gunshot wound

Winnipeg police responded to report of a shooting at approximately 6:05 a.m on January 1st at a residence in the 400 block of Nairn Avenue.

Police and paramedics arrived to find Adam Travis Martin, 31 of Winnipeg injured outside of the residence. Martin was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries

No arrests have been made at this time, anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6508 .

Update January 7th
Winnipeg police located Samuel Zanen Moneyas, 18, of Winnipeg,
in the 400 block of Nairn Avenue on January 3rd at approximately 5:10am, and charged him with Second Degree Murder, and Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice (x2).

Storm Alexander Moar, 22, was arrested on January 4th at at approximately 5:20pm in the 500 block of Kent Road. Moar has been charged with Second Degree Murder, Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized, Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order.
