4 teens charged with Manslaughter in the homicide of Peter FILIP who was found deceased on a sidewalk in Winnipeg

Winnipeg Police Service responded to the report of an injured male lying on a sidewalk in the 1100 block of Arlington Street on November 11, 2023, at approximately 2:00 a.m.

On arrival police provided the adult male victim with emergency medical care with the application of a chest seal and CPR. He was then rushed to hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. His identity and cause of death has not been released.

Update November 17
The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Peter FILIP.

Update December 27th
Winnipeg police said between December 11 and December 20, they arrested two 14-year-old males, a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old male and have charged them with Manslaughter. They were detained in custody. A 14-year-old male and a 15-year-old male remain outstanding.

The accused have been identified as suspects in the subsequent robberies. Additional charges are anticipated as the investigation continues.
