Winnipeg police investigate a murder-suicide on Sherburn Street

On April 28, 2025, at approximately 2:08 p.m., Winnipeg Police responded to a report of a domestic situation in the 500 block of Sherburn Street.

Officers from the East and West District General Patrol arrived at the scene and found an adult man and woman suffering from serious medical emergencies. They provided immediate medical assistance until paramedics arrived. Both individuals were taken to the hospital in critical condition but later died from their injuries.

Following an investigation, homicide detectives determined the case to be a murder-suicide. The victim was identified as 22-year-old Nadia Flett-Carriere of God’s Lake First Nation, who was living in Winnipeg. The man, also deceased, was a 27-year-old Winnipeg resident.
