Windsor police responded to the 900 block of Josephine Avenue on May 12th at approximately 8:20pm in relation to a vehicle collision. The collision involved a red Dodge Magnum, a gray Volkswagen, and two parked vehicles. Police said several people were arguing at the location and later dispersed.
Police then responded to the 400 block of McDougall Street for a report of unknown trouble on May 12th at approximately 9:20pm. Police received a second call about the same location while on route reporting that people were fighting and an adult male had been stabbed.
Police arrived to the scene to find Jazz Rakeem Downey, 25, suffering from a stab wound. He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injures.
During the investigation police located a deceased male in the 400 block of City Hall Square East. According to police the victim was suffering from obvious signs of injuries and a homicide investigation was launched. The Major Crime Branch believes the collision, stabbing and homicide may be related.
