Wesley Dean Rideout, identified as Surrey’s latest homicide victim

Surrey RCMP was called to an Esso Station near 104 Ave and King George Boulevard on October 21, at approximately 2:45am on report of an assault. Police said the caller and the assault victim ran away prior to police arriving.

Surrey RCMP was notified by the BC Coroner Service at approximately 240pm, on the same day, that the victim had died in hospital from his injuries.

The victim has been identified as Wesley Dean Rideout, 39. Rideout is known to police and they believe his death was targeted.
