The 2022 Edmonton Homicide Victim List is available here

Edmonton police responded to a domestic-related call from a residence near 75A Street and 166 Avenue on December 15th at approximately 4:30 p.m.

On arrival police located Daniela Roman, 51, of Edmonton, deceased in the basement of the residence. The victim’s husband Vasile Roman, 54, was taken into custody at the scene.

An autopsy was performed and revealed the cause of death to be multiple blunt and crush injuries with the manner being homicide.

Vasile Roman has been charged with second-degree murder.
