Vanderhoof RCMP responded to a wellbeing check-call on March 9th at around 1:57pm.
Police arrived at the home and located a deceased female. Police said the death appeared to be suspicious, and the North District Major Crime division has taken carriage of the investigation.

Update April 15
The victim has been identified as Joy Morris, 62, and autopsy revealed the manner of death to be homicide. April 10th, Investigators arrested Justin Johnston, 42 in relation to the homicide of Morris. Plice said the accused and the victim were known to each other.
