Vancouver police responded to reports of an injured man at a home near Joyce Street and Vanness Avenue, at around 2:30 a.m. Saturday May 22nd.

Police arrived to find a 59-year-old Richard William Hooper suffering from multiple stab wounds. Hooper was rushed to hospital where he died from his injuries on May 24th.

Rajesh Narayan, 38, was arrested on Saturday by VPD officers and is now charged with second degree murder. Police believe the suspect and the victim knew each other.
