Two teens charged in relation to the homicide of a 17-year-old male in Sudbury

Sudbury officers were dispatched to a serious assault, in which two people had been stabbed, in the area of Falconbridge Road at Racicot Drive on June 14th at approximately 2:50am.

Police arrived to find two youths who had sustained serious, life-threatening injuries. The teens were rushed to the hospital where a 17-year-old male victim died of his injuries. The second youth remains in hospital in stable condition.

As a result of the investigation a 16-year-old, youth has been charged with First Degree Murder, Attempt Murder, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose. A 17-year-old, youth has been charged with Assault x2 and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.

Their names cannot be released as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
